IR-2-PC - Infra Red Receiver
 

   

IR-2-PC is a low-priced infrared receiver for controlling the PC with a standard remote control. Available with either USB or Serial interface it allows complete control of a PC using a standard  Infra Red remote controller from a TV, VCR, CD or Stereo from up to 10m away.

The IR-2-Serial module is recognised as a serial interface (connected to COM1, COM2..) and requires no additional power supply. After the installation of free or shareware programs  a PC under MSDOS, Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, XP or Linux operating systems can be controlled with an I.R. remote control.
A release is now available which supports Via Epia and notebook mainboards.

IR-2-USB works with the USB-interface of your PC. It is connected to the USB-port with a standard USB A/B cable. A small USB driver must be installed and after the installation of free or shareware programs  a PC under MSDOS, Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, XP or Linux operating systems can be controlled with an I.R. remote control.

  Both modules are available with and without housing!
